Character design - The adventures of Vanina

This is Vanina. She is a mischievous young girl, growing in the XVIIIth century South of France. She is the main character of my serie project I started writing, , "The adventures of Vanina".

This project's look is mainly inspired from XVIII century painters Fragonard and Raspal, but I also had to keep in mind the audience and media support to which this project is addressing. Most important details of expression needed to be readable on smaller screen. But attention were also paid to the details in the motifs of the fabric as they are part of the story and the character's identity.
